In 2002, 80 fifth graders walked through the doors of our middle school in Newark, New Jersey. Since then, our strong track record of partnering with families to support the success of our students and alumni (many of whom have joined our team as adults!) has led us to open schools in Camden and Paterson, NJ and Miami, FL.
By investing in outstanding teammates, our schools now educate more than 9,500 children across Newark, Camden, Paterson, and Miami.

More than 70 @khscamden students visited the 76ers Training Complex in Camden today through a partnership with @rhymeswithreason and the support of @joelembiid and the @sixers . KHS students have been engaging with the Rhymes with Reason platform in their English classes this year to learn new vocabulary and improve reading comprehension skills. Students in attendance were selected for their high GPAs.
As part of their visit, students learned new words through the program and then used them in an original poem or song they performed for prizes. Students also had the opportunity to practice drills with @joelembiid and engage with the @sixers cheerleaders and mascot.
