Our Story

In 2002, 80 fifth graders walked through the doors of our middle school in Newark, New Jersey. Since then, our strong track record of partnering with families to support the success of our students and alumni (many of whom have joined our team as adults!) has led us to open schools in Camden, NJ and Miami.

By investing in outstanding teammates, our schools now educate more than 9,000 children across Newark, Camden, and Miami.

Together with families and communities, our KIPP New Jersey and KIPP Miami teams create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose—college, career, and beyond—so they can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world.

Our team believes deeply in the potential of all children. We approach our relationship with our teachers in the same way, offering exceptional support to our teachers through mentorship, professional development opportunities, high-quality curriculum, and tight-knit school communities.

Join our team and we’ll grow together.
